About the role

Assisting in becoming the veterinary company people most want to work for and reporting to the Head of HR Australia, you'll be the face of the HR team for our employees across the country.  Whilst CVS has a well-established history and presence in the UK, our Australian business is in its early days. This is a unique role that blends the commercial acumen and stakeholder relationships of business partnering with HR Lifecycle best practice and the creative flair of employee experience. You will love the variety this role brings, with so many exciting projects to design, create and deliver to achieve our strategy and support our business to scale.

 

Your impact:

Utilising the breadth of your generalist HR experience you will be responsible for:

  • Stakeholder relationships – becoming a trusted partner to Regional Directors, Clinic leaders and Support Office delivering timely and accurate advice and support.
  • Transformation and Change –Design, creation and implementation of key HR projects to establish foundational systems and processes related to the Employee Lifecycle.
  • Leadership Development – coach and mentor leaders to build high performing teams
  • Industrial and Employee Relations expertise – drawing on the depth of your knowledge and your pragmatic approach will assist in shaping best practice and compliant HR ways of working while providing sound ER advice that supports leaders to manage sensitive and complex people matters.
  • Compliance & Policy – leveraging knowledge of relevant legislation to create policies and procedures that support and enable our colleagues to be their best work.
  • Culture & Engagement – analysing eNPs insights to support clinics to drive engagement and elevate culture, inclusion and continuous improvement. Help us shape the things that make us a great place to work!
  • Acquisitions –support with integrating new clinics and upskilling clinic leaders, travelling interstate as required

 

What you'll bring:

We're looking for a values driven, caring and adaptable business partner who can work in a fast paced start up environment with a high level of ambiguity

You will have:

  • Ability to create positive working relationships and influence across a broad range of stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated application of partnering skills in a P&C/HR Business Partner role;
  • Experience working in a shared services model in a startup or high growth acquisition environment with high levels of ambiguity
  • Demonstrated capability in coaching leaders to create thriving workplace cultures and build autonomy in people leadership;
  • Experience delivering change initiatives into the business and supporting leaders implement change;
  • A strong understanding of how to create and bring to life HR lifecycle activities;
  • Demonstrated capability in navigating complex ER matters within best practice framework;
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Ability to travel as operationally required and for team development.
