The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll drive financial performance, lead a capable team, and partner closely with senior stakeholders to support strategic growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the finance function across Australia, ensuring strong controls, governance, and accuracy
- Overseeing month-end and year-end reporting for Australia, working in close partnership with the UK team who lead group reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of Australian results and delivering meaningful insights
- Driving budgeting and forecasting cycles for the Australian division, providing clear visibility of risks and opportunities to support local decision-making
- Partnering with Operations and clinic leaders to improve performance and profitability
- Supporting growth initiatives, including acquisitions and integration projects
- Supporting group-led audit processes and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements across the Australian business
- Building and mentoring a high-performing, engaged finance team
- Identifying opportunities to streamline, automate, and continuously improve finance processes
What You Bring
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) with strong post-qualified experience
- A commercially savvy mindset—you see the story behind the numbers
- Proven leadership experience with a passion for developing people
- Strong technical grounding (IFRS, audit, controls)
- Experience in fast-paced, growing or multi-site environments (veterinary/healthcare a plus)
- Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
- A proactive, hands-on approach—you're comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed
- Systems and process improvement capability (ERP/reporting tools)
